Visit of Laconi

Laconi lies on the Sarcidano plateau. It is surrounded by a thick green wood, with a wealth of springs and streams. The countryside is strewn with the traces of Nuraghic settlements, which have yielded a rich trove of objects. In 2005, the town was awarded the Orange Flag by the Italian Touring Club for its quality hospitality, its well-tended green parks and areas, historical and heritage attractions and its outstanding restaurants and tourist accommodation. One of the main attractions is the ruined Aymerich Castle, dating from the first half of the 19th century. The building stands in the centre of beautiful parkland, with streams and small waterfalls and a wealth of trees and other plants. The town’s Museo Civico has an amazing exhibition of the huge menhir-statues found at the Perda Iddocca site.
